Accessibility Statement

At OnlineCounsellingForYou, I am committed to making this website — [www.onlinecounsellingforyou.co.uk] — accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.

I aim to meet accessibility standards in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, and continue to work on improving the user experience for everyone, regardless of ability or technology.

What web accessibility is

Web accessibility means making sure that everyone — including people with visual, hearing, motor, or cognitive impairments — can use and navigate this website easily.

An accessible website allows all visitors to access information and services with a similar level of ease, regardless of ability. This includes support for assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice recognition tools, and screen magnifiers.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

This website has been adapted in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, and aims to meet Level AA compliance — the standard recommended by most UK and international accessibility bodies.

The site is designed to be compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and screen magnifiers.

As part of these efforts, I have:

  • Used Wix’s Accessibility Wizard to identify and fix potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site (English - UK)

  • Defined a clear heading structure across all pages

  • Ensured content follows a logical reading and tab order

  • Added alternative text (alt text) to images

  • Chosen colour combinations that meet required contrast ratios

  • Limited the use of motion or animation to avoid distractions

  • Made sure any downloadable files (e.g. PDFs) and embedded media are accessible where possible

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, and I continue to make improvements to ensure the site remains inclusive and usable for everyone.

Requests, issues, and suggestions

If you experience any difficulty accessing this website, or if you have suggestions for how I can improve accessibility, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I’m committed to making this site as inclusive as possible.
