If you are experiencing a mental health or medical emergency, please contact your GP, dial 999, or use appropriate crisis services.

While therapy can be a valuable support, it does not guarantee specific outcomes. Each person’s journey is unique, and progress can vary.

I use WriteUpp, a secure, GDPR-compliant practice management system, to schedule appointments and store notes.

  • I keep brief clinical notes after each session, for professional use only.

  • These are anonymised, securely stored, and not shared.

  • Notes are retained for one year after our work ends and then deleted.

  • You may request to see your notes, subject to professional and legal guidelines.

You have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Request corrections

  • Withdraw consent

  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office)

Boundaries & Contact Outside Sessions

Counselling is a professional relationship. To protect both client and therapist, boundaries are in place.

  • Contact between sessions should be for admin purposes only (e.g. booking or rescheduling).

  • Any therapeutic matters should be brought into the next session.

Ending Therapy

You are free to end therapy at any time. If possible, I encourage planning a final session to reflect and close the work.

I also reserve the right to end therapy if it is no longer appropriate or beneficial.

Crisis Support

Please note that this is not an emergency service. I am not available outside of our scheduled sessions.

If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline in your country.
